Conditions Treated At New Jersey CyberKnife
About Our New Jersey CyberKnife Center
Welcome to New Jersey CyberKnife – your dedicated oncology treatment center. Affiliated with the J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center, part of the Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health family at Community Medical Center, we are located in the heart of the Jersey Shore region, offering world-class cancer care to the community. We specialize in treating patients with the CyberKnife® Robotic Radiosurgery System – an advanced nonsurgical, outpatient treatment that delivers high doses of radiation to cancerous and noncancerous tumors with extreme accuracy.
The CyberKnife® System allows physicians to zero in on the target tumor and irradiate it without harming the surrounding healthy tissue. As a result, the CyberKnife treatment is painless and more comfortable for patients, radiation is delivered more accurately, and treatments can be completed in one to five sessions with minimal to no side effects.
Our physicians have contributed a substantial amount of potentially groundbreaking treatment data to foster new studies and treatment guidelines, earning us recognition around the globe. We were the second-largest contributor in the world for 2019 to RSSearch® by The Radiosurgery Society. This patient registry records pre-treatment information and treatment outcomes of all consenting patients, providing real-time data to evaluate current protocols.
With a reputation for exceptional care, our dedicated, experienced team of medical professionals has attracted patients from across the US. We accept Medicare, Medicare HMOs, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans, ensuring that you receive the quality, compassionate care you deserve.
Thank you for considering us for your care. We look forward to helping you on your journey to recovery.

Your Treatment Options At New Jersey CyberKnife
To effectively treat cancer and other conditions requiring radiation therapy, New Jersey CyberKnife utilizes Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT).
Our radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists all work together to give you the best possible care. For the most accurate and precise SRS and SBRT treatments possible, we use state-of-the-art technology and meticulously planned procedures.
Brain, spine, lung, and liver cancers can all be treated with SRS and SBRT, two forms of leading-edge radiation therapy. Because of the precision with which these therapies can target the tumor, patients experience fewer side effects and can recover more quickly from radiation therapy than in the past.
Both SRS and SBRT are available at our facility, and our doctors will work with you to find the approach that will be most effective for your condition. While SBRT is utilized for larger tumors including those in the lung, liver, and spine, SRS is reserved for smaller lesions in the brain and spinal cord with clear borders.
The treatments are short (just a few minutes each session) and painless, so patients can feel better quickly. All of these procedures can be done on an outpatient basis, meaning you can go home the same day.
We know how difficult it is to receive a cancer diagnosis, and we’re here to help you through it. We are dedicated to doing everything in our power to help you succeed, including providing you with information, comfort, and follow-up care.
We encourage you to consult with one of our experts if you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer or other condition requiring radiation therapy. Discovering if SRS or SBRT is the superior treatment option for you is something we can do together. It’s an honor for us to help you begin the road to recovery.
