Mark Rounsaville, MD is a board-certified radiation oncologist at our San Francisco cancer treatment center.

Dr. Rounsaville received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, and his medical doctorate from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He completed his internship in transitional medicine and his radiation oncology residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, California, and his clinical fellowship at the American Cancer Society.

When asked what he enjoys most about his role as a radiation oncologist, Dr. Rounsaville replied, “My passion is patient care. Listening to my patients, understanding their unique circumstances, and tailoring their treatment options are at the heart of my practice. It is an honor to be part of a team of healthcare professionals that have the same shared values of patient care, cure, quality, and compassion.”

Dr. Rounsaville has authored several articles in peer-reviewed publications and is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
