Krishna Kumar

Chief Executive Officer

Krishna Kumar has valuable experience and exceptional insight into the radiology space, having served as Senior Vice President & Business Leader – Precision Diagnosis at Philips North America from March 2019 to June 2023. Prior to this role, he led global businesses in Pathology, Oncology and Neuro at Philips based in Amsterdam, Netherlands from 2015-2019 and prior thereto was the CEO of Philips India. Before joining Philips, Mr. Kumar served in leadership roles across the US, Japan, China and India with Johnson & Johnson where he was instrumental in building and scaling up many high growth businesses with innovative go-to-market strategies.

Maureen Stuart

Chief Information Officer

Maureen has over 25 years of experience in IT systems, strategy, governance and optimization. She is a strong believer in the power of technology and the profound impact it can have on businesses during critical periods of growth and change. Most recently she served as CIO for Bright Health. Prior to that, Maureen served as Vice President of Corporate Systems, IT Architecture and Development at Marriott International. Additionally, she has held executive leadership roles in technology at MedStar Health and Houston Methodist. Maureen holds a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts.

Juan Perez

Chief Financial Officer

Juan brings over 25 years of experience in guiding financial strategy and ensuring fiscal stability, with a proven track record in driving strategic financial operations that support organizational growth. Before joining Akumin, he served as Chief Financial Officer at One Call and Wellpath, where he also held the position of Executive Vice President. His extensive career includes executive roles in finance at Intrawest Resorts, Accruit LLC, and Silicon Mountain Holdings, where he led numerous initiatives to improve financial performance and advance cost management. Juan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Boulder, Colorado and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Greg Sitkiewicz

Chief Commercial Officer

Greg oversees all growth and business development initiatives at Akumin. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President at Philips, leading a $1.7 billion Patient Monitoring division. There, he orchestrated a comprehensive business transformation from capital sales to software subscriptions. Before Philips, Greg spent 20 years at GE Healthcare in various roles, including sales, marketing, product management, and business development. He holds a degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech, where he continues to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association.

Rick Kranz

Chief Human Resources Officer

Rick is a seasoned executive that has implemented business focused HR strategies across private equity and large multinational companies. Rick has extensive experience leading end-to-end multiple HR functions at many health based organizations such as Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Merck KGaA and Philips Healthcare. Rick is focused on building an HR organization that will deliver a true partnership to our employee base and ensure the readiness of the organization to meet future business needs. This includes building a culture where employees can reach their full potential and establish Akumin as a best place to work as we grow and scale for our future.

Chandra Westergaard

General Counsel

Chandra Westergaard joins Akumin from Envision Healthcare, where she most recently served as Vice President, Associate General Counsel, and Chief Litigation Counsel. Previously, she served as a Partner at Norton Rose Fulbright and Senior Counsel at Perkins Coie. Chandra also spent more than six years at DaVita as Assistant General Counsel, leading the Office of Special Counsel, and began her legal career in the healthcare group at Crowell & Moring. She received a Juris Doctorate from the Duke University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from McDaniel College.

Randy Woelfel

EVP, Fixed Radiology & Personal Injury

Randy has significant healthcare services experience with a proven record of building and scaling radiology and laboratory businesses over his distinguished career. Prior to joining Akumin, Randy served as the Senior Vice President of Ancillary Services at Summit Health where he managed daily operations for radiology, interventional radiology, and laboratory services in facilities across 27 states. Additionally, he was the Vice President of Operations and Business Development at Rayus Radiology, directing operations for 11 locations in Arizona. Randy earned a Bachelor of Science, Anatomy and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University in Dallas, Texas.

Tom Gaston

EVP, Mobile Radiology

Tom is a results-driven leader who excels at operational efficiencies. Tom has over 35 years in the mobile industry, starting his career as Technologist at Mobile Consultants Imaging. Prior to joining Akumin, Tom led Alliance HealthCare Services’ Mobile Radiology business unit as a Director, Regional Vice President, then National Vice President. Tom has a proven track record of year-over-year growth and is passionate about fostering strong health system relationships and delivering exceptional services to the communities Akumin serves. Tom is a graduate of the University of Akron and is a registered MRI and CT Technologist.

Adam McIntosh, MD

EVP & Head of Oncology

Before joining Akumin, Adam McIntosh served as Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management and Growth Strategy at Radiology Partners, a national practice with 2,800+ radiologists. He oversaw the Southwest region revenue cycle function and national patient billing, leading a successful large-scale transformation. Additionally, Dr. McIntosh formed and managed 15 regional growth teams, contributing to substantial year-over-year client growth. Previously, he worked at McKinsey & Company, offering strategic guidance to large clients.

Rajiv Patel

Chief Strategy Officer

Rajiv joins Akumin from Stonepeak where he served as a Vice President. Prior to Stonepeak, Rajiv worked in investment banking at Barclays, where he focused on M&A advisory and leveraged buyout transactions. Rajiv earned a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University.
