Radiology Subspecialties

Six areas of specialized services to cover a range of diseases and injuries

Our integrated group of subspecialty radiologists is specialized in acquiring and interpreting images for specific parts of the body. With a focus on accurate interpretation and efficiency, they are better able to handle the diverse demands of ordering physicians, while providing the finest care for patients using the latest technologies available.

Neurology:
The body’s
supercomputer.

Our Neuroradiology division performs imaging of the central nervous system using state-of-art equipment and neuroimaging techniques to focus on the diagnosis and characterization of abnormalities of the central and peripheral nervous system, spine, head, and neck. Primary imaging methods include computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Musculoskeletal:
The body’s
framework.

Our team of musculoskeletal radiologists brings significant expertise in diagnosing all varieties of disease of the musculoskeletal system, including trauma and sports medicine, arthritis, and bone and soft tissue tumors. This division performs a wide variety of examinations including radiography, computed tomography (CT), ultrasonography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and bone mineral density procedures.

Cardiac:
The engine
of life.

The Cardiovascular Imaging Section offers non-invasive imaging of the heart and vascular system by radiologists specifically trained in cardiac imaging. A variety of imaging methods are used including echocardiographic, nuclear medicine, cardiac computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA).

Body:
Complexes of
moving parts.

Body Imaging encompasses all diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of imaging studies performed on the chest, abdomen, and pelvis, as well as the thyroid, carotid, and peripheral venous system. Our Body Imaging division includes experts in computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, molecular imaging, x-ray, and fluoroscopy.

Women’s:
A whole-body
approach.

The Women's Imaging division provides a broad range of diagnostic and interventional procedures for breast, gynecologic and obstetric imaging, that addresses the specific needs of women at every stage of life. Available imaging services include 3D digital mammography, (DEXA) bone density studies, ultrasound and magnetic resonance (MR) breast imaging.

Oncology:
The study
of cancer.

The Oncology division uses imaging methods to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer. These tests can include computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), x-ray, PET, ultrasound, mammography, biopsy and nuclear medicine.
