Self-scheduling allows you to book select imaging appointments at Akumin online using a secure link sent directly to your email or mobile phone.
1. Your doctor sends your referral to Akumin.
2. You’ll receive a secure scheduling link by email or text.
3. Click the link to view available locations, dates, and times.
4. Select the appointment that works best for you.
Our centers offer extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. In many cases, we’re able to schedule same-day and next-day appointments. Our goal is to offer a time that works best for you.
Self-scheduling is available for select imaging exams, including MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, DEXA, and Screening Mammogram. To use self-scheduling, your physician must first send your referral directly to Akumin.
Self-scheduling is currently available for select exams at most Akumin locations. We are continually expanding this service to more centers to make scheduling even easier for our patients.
If you haven’t received a scheduling link within a few days of your referral being sent, please contact your local Akumin center, and our team will assist you.
Yes — after scheduling your appointment, you’ll receive automated reminders by text or email to help you prepare and reduce the risk of missed appointments.
If you’re unable to keep your appointment, you can cancel quickly and easily using the link provided in your confirmation text or email.
To reschedule, please call your local Akumin center — our team will be happy to assist you in finding a new appointment time.
We kindly ask that you cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours in advance so we can offer that time to another patient. Please note that no-shows or cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to a fee.
If transportation is a concern, please contact your center directly — we may be able to assist with arrangements.
