Alexander Geng, MD

Alexander Geng, M.D. is a board-certified radiation oncologist and Medical Director at our San Francisco cancer treatment center.

Dr. Geng received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors in electrical engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles, and his medical doctorate from the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine in La Jolla, California. He completed his internship in internal medicine at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, California, and his radiation oncology residency at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California, where he served as chief resident. He received his SRS and SABR training at Stanford and UCSF.

Dr. Geng has clinical expertise in managing tumors in the brain, spine, lung, liver, prostate, and metastatic cancer using the CyberKnife Robotic Radiosurgery System. In addition, Dr. Geng also manages and treats a variety of cancers using conventional radiation modalities such as IMRT and 3D CRT.

Dr. Geng serves as the chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco, California. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Brachytherapy Society, American Society for Radiation Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Radiosurgery Society, and the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society.

He is deeply committed to providing the highest caliber of cancer care to all patients without regards to their personal background. In addition to English, Dr. Geng speaks Mandarin and Cantonese.
