A native of Saigon, Vietnam, Dr. Nguyen left Vietnam in 1975 and settled with her family in California. In 1987 she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California in Riverside, California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. In 1990, she received her medical degree from the University of California (UCLA) in Los Angeles. After completing an internship at UCLA School of Medicine in 1991, Dr. Nguyen completed a three-year residency in Radiation Therapy at Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California.

Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology and is certified by the American Board of Radiology in radiation oncology. Dr. Nguyen is married with two children. She speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
