Steve Karp, M.D. received his medical degree from New York Medical College. During his radiation oncology residency, Dr. Karp served as chief resident at Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. He was Medical Director and Radiation Safety Officer in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Columbia County Cancer Center, Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, from 2006 to 2014. He was also the Medical Director and Radiation Safety Officer at Susquehanna Valley Cancer Treatment Center, Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, from 1999 to 2010 and at Northwest Radiation Oncology Center, Randallstown, Maryland, from 1997 to 1998.
Dr. Karp has extensive experience in stereotactic radiation therapy, HDR brachytherapy, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), Varian® RapidArc, 3D treatment planning, and temporary radiation implants.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and Columbia County Medical Society.
