Kimberly Ellis, RN

Kimberly Ellis graduated with an associate degree in nursing in 2000. She worked for Huntsville Hospital for 13 years, starting off on the surgical floors just out of college, then moving to the cardiac intensive care units where she spent the majority of years. She continued her education and graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, first with a bachelor’s, degree in nursing, and then with a master’s degree in nursing in acute care. During her time at the University of Alabama, she was introduced to the field of radiation oncology, at which time she discovered a passion for working with oncology patients. After graduating with a master’s degree, she began working at Alliance Cancer Care in 2012, where she has worked as a nurse practitioner for Dr. Hoyt A “Tres” Childs, III.

She is currently a member of North Alabama Nurse Practitioner Association and Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology. In her free time, Kimberly enjoys hiking, scuba diving, anything that involves water, and spending time with her family.
