Prem Raja, M.D. is a board-certified radiation oncologist at the Charleston Area Medical Center. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and his medical degree at West Virginia University. He completed his internal medicine internship at Charleston Area Medical Center and West Virginia University and his residency for radiation oncology at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Raja is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiation and Oncology and the American College of Radiation Oncology.

He loves the intellectual challenge that cancer presents and overcoming it through modern technology to make a difference in the lives of patients. He is an advocate for patient education and empowerment. Dr. Raja treats all cancer types with a special interest in cancers in the lung, head, and neck regions.

He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two daughters and is involved with several hobbies such as mountain biking, snowboarding, and playing and listening to music.
