Abhay Gokhale, M.D. received his undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, graduating with University Honors and election to Phi Beta Kappa. He completed his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine, in Boston, Massachusetts, and his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, where he served as Chief Resident and received a 2010 Roentgen Resident/Fellow Award from the Radiological Society of North America.

Dr. Gokhale has contributed to several radiation oncology publications, including one related to CyberKnife treatment of lung cancers. He is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO), and the American Brachytherapy Society (ABS).
