Dr. Masters is a board-certified radiation oncologist at our Louisville cancer treatment center. Originally from North Carolina, she received a BS degree in chemistry from Wake Forest University in Winton Salem. She then received both her PhD and medical degree at the University of Louisville in 2013 and 2014, respectively. In 2015, she completed an internship in internal medicine from the University of Louisville, then her residency in radiation oncology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in 2019. She worked in private practice and as adjunct faculty at SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois, prior to returning to Louisville.
Dr. Masters has special interests in gynecological cancers and neuro-oncology and treats patients using external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) and brachytherapy. She is the medical residency director of the Department of Radiation Oncology. She was ranked by Press Ganey in the top 10% in her specialty for overall patient experience in 2021. She is on the 2022 ACRO board of Chancellors, is chair of the New Practitioners Committee, and serves as the medical residency director of the Department of Radiation Oncology. “I strive to provide patient-centered care that is respectful of the needs of each person. My goal is to provide the highest quality of care,” she says.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog outdoors and meeting new people while traveling.
