When you think about healthcare, you often picture the doctors, nurses and technologists; the people at the bedside.

But in our business, there’s another group of healthcare heroes. They move at night in big rigs traveling hundreds of miles while cities sleep. Our drivers go the distance so that patients don’t have to, delivering mobile imaging and cancer treatment services from community to community.

We have more than 100 drivers across the country making sure our units show up where they need to; on time, ready to serve and, above all, safely. Every day, commercial drivers operate in one of the most highly regulated transportation environments in the nation. Federal agencies closely monitor crashes, vehicle performance and driver safety because the stakes are so high.

But for us, safety is more than a transportation metric. It is a patient care commitment.

What makes our drivers remarkable is not just where they go. It’s what they’re carrying.

While most trucks carry freight, we’re transporting something very different; access to healthcare.

Every mobile imaging unit and mobile cancer treatment center represents an opportunity for someone to receive critical healthcare services closer to home. It can mean fewer miles traveled by a patient, less time away from work and family, and more convenient access to needed care. While patients may never meet the driver who brought that unit to their community, they benefit directly from their work.

Long before the first patient arrives and long before clinicians begin their day, our drivers are performing inspections, planning routes and taking every precaution to ensure our mobile units arrive safely and ready to operate. Every safe mile traveled helps protect the continuity of care our customers and patients depend on.

The professionalism required to do this work cannot be overstated. It demands technical expertise, focus, adaptability and an unwavering commitment to safety.

And half of our drivers or more have spent over a decade in our rigs, speaking volumes about the culture we’ve built together.

In an industry where driver retention is a constant challenge, that longevity reflects something meaningful. It reflects pride in craftsmanship, trust in teammates, confidence in our safety-first approach and a belief in the mission behind the miles.

Our drivers understand that they are doing more than transporting equipment. They are helping expand access to healthcare. They are helping hospitals and health systems meet the needs of their communities. They are helping reduce travel burdens for patients who may already be navigating difficult diagnoses and treatment journeys.
